“Digital” in the field of Technology, Internet and Computing

In India there are lots of digital revolutionary programmes are initiated in recent days. All programmes are related with the similar aim of Digital promotion in India. Either we are talking about Digital Tech production or Digital Skill development, the main purpose is to establish the Digital Environment in India.

So, the term Digital has been highlighted in the market and society for recent years. Now, I’m gonna tell you, what is the term Digital means. I’m gonna explain you few basics of “Digital”.

Definition:-

Digital is something which usually refers to use electronic technology and digits (particularly binary digits in ‘0’ and ‘1’ form) that can be stores data, processes the data and generates the data. It is used with some physical communication media, such as fiber optic transmission and satellite. In this case modem plays an important role by converting the analog phone signal to digital information for your computer and digital information in your computer to analog signals for your phone.

Uses:-

The term digital is used in the several areas, all have their own particular broad meaning and value. Here are the examples of some most important areas of term Digital which are mainly related to Technology, Internet and Computing. There is also other areas in Digital but I’m only going to explain you what are really important for you to know. May be you are also little bit familiar from few of them.

So these are as follows:-

Digital computer=>A computer handling information represented by discrete  values.

Digital data=>The data that is usually represented using binary numbers.

Digital signal=> It is the signal which formed from a discrete set of distinguishable waveforms and not formed from continuous ranges.

Digital electronics=>It is the electronic circuits designed to operate using digital signals.

Digital media=>The media which stored as digital data.

Digital television=>The television systems which broadcast using digital signals.

   

Digital radio=>The radio that uses digital technology to transmit or receive signals.

Digital economy=>An economy based on computing and telecommunications resources.

                                                                                                

Digital divide=>An economic and social inequality according to categories of persons in a given population in their access to       use of or knowledge of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).

   

Digital painting=>A method of creating visual art using computers with the help of some particular software.
