Skill India:
On 16th July 2015, another one of the
Government of India’s initiatives launched by Honorable Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with an aim to train over 40 crore people in India in
different skills by 2022. Skill India initiative is another big movement by Narendra Modi towards the growth of the nation.
This initiative includes several schemes and policies such
as Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) scheme, the Skill Loan scheme,
National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship 2015 and National
Skill Development Mission.
The main aim of Skill India is to create more scope and
opportunities by the development of skills among the people of India and
development of skills in those areas which have still been put under skill
development process for the last several years.
This initiative also focus on new sectors for skill
development of youth and providing them proper training for enhancing their
skills in various respective areas.
Their objective is to covering each and every village for
the development of the skill in about 500 million youth of India by expecting
till 2020.

Skill India want to help the all stakeholders by connecting them freely to
each other by providing a collaboration platform to empower stakeholders
through its portal. Its overall focus is to provide an engaging ecosystem to
cater to skilling needs of citizens, all that done by publishing and sharing relevant
& helpful information to citizens.
There are approximately 800 million citizens of India
still they are in bottom stage, if comparing them into the field of growth. So,
Skill India portal initiative is what about that it try to enhance the skill of
citizens in their respective field in which they needs for their growth.
Skill India portal provides engaging environment with affiliated and accredited
training partners, infrastructure providers to understand skill options,
opportunities and information of various providers, reliable and credible
digital content.
According to the Skill India the Ministry of Skill
Development & Entrepreneurship along with National Skill Development
Corporation (NSDC) has partnered with CMC to develop Skill
India portal platform which is completely integrated with NSDC’s Skill
Development Management System (SDMS).
